NIKON PLAN APO VC 20X/0.75 AIR UV WD 1.0 INFINITY CORRECTED M25 OBJECTIVE LENS. We have added the conventional markings in a transparent stick-on label so it can be clearly identified when mounted on your microscope. This CFI Plan Apochromat VC Series lens is especially designed for use for fluorescence applications.

It is suitable for use on any of the Nikon Eclipse Series E or I upright or inverted microscopes that are designed to accept M25mm objectives. It has a WD (working distance) of 1.0mm. The lower portion of the lens is spring loaded. It is especially designed to be used to observe slides equipped with a standard thickness cover glass. Use for observations of slides without a cover glass is not recommended. Attached is a Nikon data sheet that provides more details on this type of objective. Some of its unique properties are summarized as follows. Top performance objective with perfect correction of chromatic aberrations in the visible light range with excellent resolution throughout the field of view. Perfect choice for multi-stained, fluorescence specimens and for brightfield and DIC observations. For DIC, it is designed to be used with N2 prisms. In addition to the correction range of the conventional NIKON PLAN APO series (435-660nm), axial chromatic aberration has been corrected up to the violet range (405nm) - thus the UV designation on the lens. This makes this objective highly effective for confocal applications. Visual observation of prepared specimens exhibit excellent brightness throughout the view field by minimizing light loss around the edges and increasing resolution - a critical criterion for digital-image capturing.

We have visually tested this objective on a Nikon TE-200 inverted Microscope with excellent results that are consistent with the information found on the Nikon data sheet. Note: The attached images of this objective are to be considered to be part of this statement of conditions. This is a used objective lens that was removed from a DNA sequencing machine and so lacks conventional objective markings.

We have added the conventional marking with a transparent stick-on label to aid in identification of the objective when mounted on a microscope. The optics in this objective are in excellent condition with no internal defects. Cosmetically, the outer barrel of the microscope has no major defects or blemishes evident.
