Olympus MPlanFl N 20X/0.45. 20X Fluor (semi-apo), metallurgical (no coverslip) Olympus objective. New, "N" model of the Olympus UIS2 series. Works brilliantly on camera for studio microphotography / focus stacking. Optical tube length is 180mm, image circle is big enough and on APS-C and MFT cameras I have used it at quite lower than nominal magnification with short tube lenses. Coverage is good on FF as well. Working distance is 3.1mm. Given the bullet-shaped barrel, it is more than enough to properly illuminate the subject. I have used quite a few samples of the "L" (long WD) version, and while its WD is certainly more comfortable, contrast is lower and resolution is lower as well (NA 0.45 vs 0.40). This is a high-performance, very expensive objective, list price is higher than the Mitty 20X. There is some scratches on the front part of the barrel as shown. It is purely cosmetic though.
